BYD Austria published this bulletin on 23 Jul 2026 for a roll-out in July – August 2026. The release carries multimedia version 45.1.2.2606014.1.45.2.2.2606013.2 / 45.1.20.2606014.1.45.2.2.2606013.2. Everything below is translated from the German PDF; we have not installed this release on a car.

Overview#

New

  • AC charging current limit added
  • Option added to deactivate Child Presence Detection (CPD) for 28 days
  • Navigation display in the head-up display (HUD) for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto added (only for vehicles with head-up display)

Optimised

  • Optimisation of the system interface and text displays
  • Optimisation of Child Presence Detection (CPD)
  • Optimisation of the switching logic of the corner radar function
  • Optimisation of the usability of the map view
  • Optimisation of the operating logic of the driver monitoring system (DMS)

New features#

New setting to limit the charging current during AC charging#

After the OTA update the charging power can be controlled via the AC charging current limit setting (in amperes). The screenshot shows the setting under Energy > Charging and Discharging with the selectable values 6, 8, 10 and 16 A.

The new AC Charging Current Limit row sits between the charging-port immobiliser and Vehicle To Load; 16 A is the highest preset shown.

Option added to deactivate Child Presence Detection (CPD) for 28 days#

Child Presence Detection (CPD) can now be deactivated for a period of 28 days. The bulletin lists this as a heading only and gives no further details or menu path.

Before: the head-up display (HUD) only supported showing the built-in vehicle navigation.

New: navigation from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can now also be shown in the head-up display. Only available on vehicles equipped with a head-up display.

Optimisations#

Optimisation of the system UI display and text messages#

The page consists of a heading and a screenshot of the revised home screen (navigation shortcuts Home/Work, media card with FM 87.5 MHz, Bluetooth card and tyre-pressure card on the desktop). No textual details are given.

Optimisation of Child Presence Detection (CPD)#

The switches for Child Presence Detection (CPD) and interior motion detection were optimised.

Optimisation of the switching logic of the corner radar function#

The logic for activating and deactivating the corner radar function was revised.

Before OTA: the setting was reset after every vehicle power cycle and was deactivated at vehicle start.

After OTA: the function is activated automatically when the vehicle is switched on.

Optimisation of the usability of the map view#

The page consists of a heading and a screenshot of the map view; the bulletin gives no textual details of what changed.

The map view with the collapsed search panel and recent destinations overlaid on the satellite map.

Optimisation of the operating logic of the driver monitoring system (DMS)#

Distraction detection now distinguishes between driving-related and non-driving-related activities. During driving-related activities (e.g. looking in the mirrors or at the instrument cluster) no warning is issued; other distracting behaviour still triggers a warning.

The warning issued on detection of moderate fatigue was removed.

The DMS toggles under Drive > Cabin Perception; the fatigue and distraction warnings are the functions whose logic changed.

What we have not verified#

  • This is a translation of BYD Austria’s bulletin, not a test: we have not installed V1.3.0 on a Atto 3 EVO.
  • The bulletin was published by BYD’s Austrian importer. The release itself is the European one, but roll-out dates are given for Austria, and a few items are country-specific (radio services, interface languages, legal notes).
  • Availability of individual features can depend on trim, model year and the head-unit hardware.
